Scholarship donated in the name of the W3 Foundation
A new scholarship has been donated in the name of the W3 Foundation, extending access to education for a young person in need and honouring the legacy of Sophia Wood and Kevin Williams.
The W3 Foundation is pleased to announce that a scholarship has been donated in our name, creating a direct pathway to quality education for a student who would otherwise have been unable to continue their studies.
The scholarship covers tuition and schooling costs for the coming academic year. It is awarded on the basis of need, promise and character — the same qualities that defined the giving of Sophia Wood and Kevin Williams, whose quiet generosity continues to shape every decision the Foundation makes.
“Education was always at the heart of how Sophia and Kevin gave. They believed that lifting one person through learning lifts a family, a community and a generation. This scholarship carries that belief forward.”
The award forms part of the Foundation’s wider education pillar, which includes school-fee support, mentorship, vocational training and university access initiatives in South Africa and the United Kingdom.
Where possible, the Foundation reports outcomes without naming individual beneficiaries, respecting their privacy while demonstrating the real difference that structured, compassionate giving can make.
Further scholarships and bursaries are under review for the next funding cycle. Enquiries from schools, community organisations and prospective partners are welcome.
