From the Founder

Founder's Statement

To build on the legacy of two human beings who left the world a better place by their presence, their giftedness, their tireless generosity, and their support to me personally, is the greatest honour of my life.

Kevin Williams and Sophia Wood were those human beings. Their legacy lives on in countless acts of kindness, empathy, and generosity — a legacy I witnessed first-hand and carry forward with gratitude for who they were, and who they still are to me.

It is in their honour that I established the W3 Charitable Foundation: a vehicle for social good, created to extend their spirit of giving into education, healthcare, humanitarian relief, and employment across the United Kingdom and South Africa.

The Foundation is headquartered at Glen Eden Lodge, Caversham, KwaZulu-Natal — itself the creation and endurance of a legacy spanning more than 150 years. It is fitting that this new chapter of giving should be rooted in a place that has already proven what generosity, sustained over generations, can achieve.

Kevin and Sophia gave without expectation of return. The W3 Charitable Foundation exists so that their giving does not end with them, but continues — through every scholarship funded, every family supported, every community strengthened — in their name.
